About NPI Desk

NPI Desk is an independent reference for provider identifiers: a live lookup against the CMS NPI Registry, every code in the NUCC Health Care Provider Taxonomy with its Medicare crosswalk, and Medicare enrollment counts from CMS's public provider enrollment file. It is not affiliated with CMS or NUCC.

How the site works

Taxonomy codes come from the NUCC code set (version 26.1), Medicare specialties from CMS's taxonomy crosswalk, and enrollment counts from CMS's public provider enrollment file; the lookup queries the CMS NPI Registry live. NPI Desk is independent and not affiliated with CMS or NUCC. Every rule and exclusion is on the methodology page.

Corrections

If a figure is wrong or a source has changed, email hello@npidesk.com with the page and a link. Corrections go into the data file and the check date updates with the next build.
